Ishrat Shabnam has completed BSc in Civil Engineering as well as an MBA from the most reputed public institutions of Bangladesh. Throughout a career span of over fifteen years, she has gathered experience of working with the government of Bangladesh, one multinational organization, as well as with several international NGOs including CARE Bangladesh, Practical Action Consulting and Cristian Aid, UK and Ireland. Her key areas of expertise are pro-poor market development, participatory market systems, climate change adaptive technology, energy, WASH, solid waste management, livelihood, gender, governance and social exclusion. She has been selected as designated speaker at the Asian Development Bank twice.

Marc Nosbach

Marc is a development professional and a successful leader of several development programs throughout the world. He started his career with Save the Children in 1998, serving in different capacities with Save the Children and Child Fund in Eastern Europe, the Horn of Africa, Middle East (Iraq), Asia (Indonesia, India, Sri Lanka) and the US (Washington DC). Currently he is leading SHOUHARDO III with CARE Bangladesh as the Chief of Party (CoP). He had worked in same position for SHOUHARDO II project in Bangladesh during November 2012 to October 2014. Before joining in CARE Bangladesh recently, he worked as the Country Director for CARE Mozambique since November 2014. In its strategic plan (2014-2020) led by Marc, CARE Mozambique made a long-term commitment to fight poverty and improve food & nutrition security by empowering women and girls. Prior to joining CARE, Marc worked as the Country Director for Save the Children (SC) in Zambia from April 2010 to November 2012. Before that, Marc served as the Deputy Country Director for Save the Children US in Ethiopia for three years. Marc has a Masters in International Public Health from the University of Sydney and a Bachelor of Arts from the School for International Training. Marc’s native home is in Germany. He is married and blessed with two children.

Sajeda Begum

Sajeda Begum is the Regional Coordinator of SHOUHARDO III. Since joining CARE in the summer of 1983, Sajeda has worked in numerous projects that covered Health, Women Development, Disaster Relief and Agriculture in Bangladesh. After a couple of illustrious decades of service, in 2007, Sajeda left CARE and worked for Intercorporation and CONCERN Worldwide. However, four years later in 2011 her passion for sustainable development brought Sajeda back in to CARE for a second stint, as she took on the role of Regional Coordinator of SHOUHARDO. Sajeda has vast experience in leading multidisciplinary groups and working with partner NGOs and local government agencies. Over the span of her career, she has participated in many of CARE’s international workshops and relief efforts including Armenia, Myanmar, and Pakistan. Sajeda completed her Master in History from Dhaka University and prior to that she also completed Medical Assistant Training from Bogra Institute of Health Technology. In her spare time, Sajeda loves to read, spend time gardening or Facetime with her 9 year old granddaughter.

Subrata Kumar Saha

Mr. Saha involves in development field for more than 26 years. Over the period he joins different International and National Nongovernmental organizations. About 16 years of he works as a members of senior management of the program/project as well as organization. During this long working period Mr. Saha involves in daily livelihood, food-security, agricultural development, WASH, poverty elimination, disaster management, relief and rehabilitation, women empowerment, skill development of youths and climate change and adaptation. Mr. Saha is an expert to lead big team, mentoring, supervision, decision making and conflict management. He is capacitated with successful implementation of different projects through effective collaboration among public, private and research organizations.
