Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 2 seeks to end hunger and malnutrition and ensure access to safe and nutritious food1. Southern Asia has the highest prevalence of hunger with about 281 million malnourished people2. Bangladesh is one of the South-Asian countries that made progress in achieving global development indicators related to health and nutrition. Malnutrition leads to intergenerational poverty. It adversely affects the life cycle development of a child. Reducing stunting (low height-for-age) and wasting (low weight-for-height) are two of the indicators of SDG 2.
